8/2/2015 11:37:00 AM - I have several left from an 06 wine dinner. was considering opening one for a special dinner party this week. I like the fresh fruit in a good young cab but like better the smoothed continuity and balance of a moderately aged cab. Did not know if I should wait longer on this but will at least open one soon. Purchased direct from wine maker at dinner and had since so early storage should not have been an issue with these bottles. We shall see..thanks for your response.

8/2/2015 11:12:00 AM - I haven't tried the 2002 Fay since 2009; I have a couple of bottles left and my last note said try in 5 years... i see a couple of other tasters saying its past its prime; big fruit forward cabs change with age and loss "baby fat" and become more complex..the French would say more interesting. But if you like Parker-style wines, you will be disappointed that the fruit forward aspect is attenuated...oh well! Individual storage condition is also a major issue.. 1800kidney
