Classic profile maturing nicely with secondary characteristics and velvety tannins. Tasted in Business Class Lounge, Dubai Airport so sadly glasswear wasn't very good.

Perfumed and lifted nose with sweet eucalyptus, chocolate, leafy notes. The palate is fresh, lively, medium bodied and so easy to drink. Not especially complex, but it has a charm and appeal that draws you back. I would happily drink this time and again, any time of the week. 90pts.

Popped and poured - will try to consume over three nights. Let's see...
Night 1 - tight nose, some red fruits, vanilla, herbs. Primary fruit with distinctive sour cherry on the palate, mixed herbs and spice, tobacco, chocolate and more vanilla. Silky tannins and fresh acidity on the finish.
Night 2 - 24 hrs later, stored at room temp in the open bottle. Nose is warm and earthy. Hints of vanilla, spice, chocolate on the nose. The palate has gained weight and depth, with the fruit rounding off and sour cherry integrating with flavours of raspberry, vanilla, tobacco and spice. Definitely easier to drink tonight, very fruit forward with gentle but grippy tannins and balanced acidity. Probably not as good as the 2009, but still very nice.
Night 3 - stored in the same way as night 2. Softer and more mellow, all together more balanced and complex. The sour cherry flavours have given way to tobacco, raspberry, sweet candy and hints of vanilla and cocoa finishing long.
Personal note: try next one in 5/7 years -- and buy a couple more if well priced.
