It took about 2h for the sulfur to blow off. Light yellow in color. Crisp, primary notes on the nose. Kinda in between masculine and feminine. Great purity and typical of German riesling. Moderate sweetness. I like my rieslings with age on it and this will get better, but not hugely. 87 now. Drink 2021+
Heavy handed. Very thick, viscous mouthfeel. Sweet red and dark fruits. Tannins are still evident. Probably at its peak drinking window right now, but has not developed any real stunning characteristics. A lot like it was on release, only more subdued. I would drink these sooner than later. It does work better with food than it did upon release.
From 375mL, professionally stored since release. This wine seems to me to be past its peak. If the drinking window is a plateau, I would argue we are on the other side of the plateau. Subtle notes of forest floor and decay. Fruit is pretty much non-existent. Short finish. Went lovely with food. Drink now.
