This was an esp delicious bottle. Ripe (but not overripe) very fresh palate that was plush, but with a firm elegance. Very pleasurable. More so with hangar steak and sauteed mushrooms.

At Goosefoot. Decanted at the beginning of meal. Started out with distinct capsicum (green) note and not esp fleshy. After two hours in decanter, the wine changed....for the better. Rich cassis fruit: a fascinating transformation worth the wait.

Fantastic! Lively (very much alive) persistent bead and very open nose: citrus, floral, brioche. Cellared since purchase in '04 and so delicious with the opening courses at Goosefoot.
