Great nose of dark berry, with some raspberry intermixed. It comes across as rather fresh - also revealing ground spices, and touches of vanilla. It's rather focused, medium bodied, and has a smooth mouthfeel. Some red fruit peeks through on the palate but it seems slightly muted. Plenty of acid and pronounced tannins lead to a long, lingering finish. It's delicious.
The nose of flowers, lemon, and lots of tropical notes. It's a little rounder in mouthfeel than the whitehill, but there is plenty of acidity so it finishes very cleanly. It coats your mouth with Lots of lemons, seashells, and white pepper. nice Cali chard.
Tasted in a restaurant. Reticent, but Warm and inviting nose- lots of cherry/black cherry, green bell pepper, cedar - they all come across with a cool streak. It's initially full bodied, but it falls off in the mid-palate and finish, which is very dry. The tannins are obvious and slightly rough, and it seems a little short on acid. The coolness of the fruit shine through here but not enough to make me want to order more. 88
