Purchased on release, stored @55 F. Found this buried/asleep in my back bin, pnp'd w/some edge bricking but still dark in colour. med/light nose of black cherries and alcohol (14.8%). Oak has more or less resolved, but tannins actually tightened up from the last bottle from some 8/9 yrs. ago. Mid-palate fruit of cherries/cherry pit/cassis still there, but comparatively a bit dried out. Still drinkable. Will have to try the '05 cab in the next week to see how it's held up. Washington has a reputation for the age-ability/structure of its merlot.
This was 61/top 100 wines of Washington (Seattle Times 2007) 92WE.

Medium dark crimson, Medium nose, cherry pit mid palate tannins w/slight cassis note, medium finish. Nothing special at all and WAY overpriced for what it delivers.

More of a food wine than a sipper. Dry but flavorful enough, nothing special.
