Disappointed that Colene Clemens released 2020s. They say no smoke taint? Yeah, right. The nose, palate and finish were obviously smoky—SO different from all previous vintages of Dopp Creek that I've enjoyed (2015-2019). And shame on Wine Anthology (NJ) for sending me 2020s when I specifically ordered 2019s (and I have their invoice/receipt as proof).
Didn't know what to expect, as this has been sitting around my cellar for the past 12 years. Surprisingly open, with dark plum being predominant. A little bitterness on the tail end. Tannins pretty much resolved. A nice wine.

Used an ETO (I know, I know, but it's actually pretty cool), drank on day 2. Incredible purity of fruit (completely opaque dark purple in the glass) with beautiful sauvage tapenade notes. Kinda tight on day 1, but really opened up. Love it and glad I have more!

I enjoy reading your posts, particularly the light-hearted humor. Wine should be enjoyed but not taken too seriously. With a handle like 'rockguit' I assume you play, I do too, though not as much as I used to. I've always played rhythm, and also like a frustrated piano player with lots of transitions. Thought we might chat from time to time...about wine and guitar.
