Popped and poured through a Vinturi, decanted. Deep ruby in color. Nose of deep, dark, black, brambly fruit, exotic sweet spice, a hint of vanilla, but mostly tightly wound blackberry fruit. On the palate most of the same but a very strong hay/earthy quality. A bit hot at the moment, not sure if this will integrate but time will tell.
Popped and pour through a filter. Noticeable amount of sediment so filtering recommended. Deep, inky purple, nearly black in color. Strong nose of deep, ripe, black plum, black pepper, vanilla, same notes on palate. This is still so tight, it is not yet revealing all that it has to offer.
