Lighter in weight and aromatic presence than I expected after tasting their Sonoma County and La Encantada bottlings. Was thinking this would be the best of the 3, however I thought it was actually a bit lacking. It just didn't achieve the effortless power I'd hoped for. Still, beautiful color and very good. But the bottle I drank from fell short of something I'd call outstanding.

My goodness - this is an outstanding wine. It's so well balanced. I have a hard time finding a flaw with it. There wasn't an off note in the bottle.
The color is a gorgeous watermelon candy pink with a hint of copper. An inviting fruit forward/floral nose conveys to the palate with medium/full weight almost like a light/medium Oregon Pinot Gris. It's never overly heavy yet is tremendously satisfying to drink.
Full of flavor but doesn't get out of whack. No distracting herbal notes - just pure enjoyable fruit balanced with medium-low acidity. Overall it strikes me as a very well made Provençal rosé targeted for the American market. Read more...

The fruit seems a little flat. Lacks vibrancy. Muddled flavors. My second time trying Kutch Savoy - the first time being blind in a line-up of 2009 mostly domestic Pinot Noirs. My impressions of this 2010 are almost identical to the 2009: Unfavorablel. I enjoyed the 2009 Kutch Sonoma Coast so much more. A fairly massive disappointment given the price point.
4/2/2013 9:00:00 PM - Thanks for your comment about the pleasure of drinking the various Sojourn Pinot noirs...They are indeed delicious, each in its own way.
