Cranberry, brambles and oak on the nose. Smooth mouth feel, good acid, dark tannins. Definite heat coming through black cherry, cola, and coffee flavors with a candied aspect. A real mouthfull for a pinot (that's what she said).
Nose: Tart plum, cranberry, black cherry, tar, funky dust and a small dose of cream. Taste: Pucker-up tannins with cherry juice up front, dust bowl in the middle then a transition to prunes on the finish. Opened up nicely over time, and much better with roast chicken than served alone. Very much a food wine.
