Fabulous cab blend. Dark color, strong dark fruits, and seems like almost all cab vs mix of cab/merlot/malbec. Had with filet mignon and it went very well...not sure I'd try it with anything "lighter". Definitely ready to drink now but will hold next bottle for 6-12 months to see how it develops.
Have a case of this and decided to try one after dinner. Very thick, dark, dark berries and a texture like cough syrup (a lot of sugar, dark purple bordering on completely opaque, & a somewhat medicinal taste to it). Let it sit for 30 mins and that didn't make a difference. I've had a lot of AU Shiraz (Dead Arm, Clarendon Hills Romas, Wynn's Michael Estate) and this makes the Aussies look tame. I'll let it sit for another day or two and try it again but, in the meantime, I'm not sure this is tolerable.
