Totally disagree with the previous note. Neither over the hill nor a poor quality wine. Has a nose of strawberry. Some very nice secondary aromas and flavours. Finish is a little short. Balanced. Delicious.
A whiff of TCA which blows off and does not reappear. Clear. Medium ruby with slight bricking. Nose is bright, fruity, dried cherry, strawberry, more youthful than expected. Quite fine but still-present tannin, good acidity, full midpalate, long flavourful finish. Tannin slightly out of balance with fruit/acidity, but not obtrusive. Touch of wood and dried herbs. Lovely. Has some additional evolution, but drinks beautifully now. Like a poweful Volnay. Rebuy, yes. These wines are very good value, IMHO, and can improve with age disproportionate to their cost.
