Funky and joyous. A bit cloudy, halfway between a pinot and a rose in color. Grenache, through and through, with strawberry, a bit of stem, and a sense of rustic structure. Cosmic stardust sparkles and a crancherry finish that fans out in the mouth.

Can’t believe it’s been 6 years since my last bottle. A firecracker Le Mont, with thrilling acidity, lemon and lanolin, lime flower, a bit more evolution with honeycomb, some white mushroom, hay, and some complex umami laden tide pool. Dense, chewy texture full of dry extract, but mid weight in body. It will likely continue to gain complexity. Mighty fine.
Similar to a year ago. Brett city at first, subsiding somewhat but not completely 4 hours in. Taut, crisp red fruits (redcurrant, pomegranate), tobacco, a hint of pyrazines, chalky fine tannins, and loamy soil. Some more sharp horsey brett before a crisp clean finish. Very classic chinon, no trace of heat.
