Not bad, quite rich, perhaps some oak and/or lees/batonnage?, some botrytis lime blossom notes, also ripe apple, going in direction of sherried/oxidative after a few days open but with the structure (acidity/alcohol) to hold it so not in a bad way

Nice skin-macerated Verdeca. Very on the herbaceous side with a structured tannin bite and good acidity in the finish. Without food, the finish leaves your palate numb in a good away almost akin to eating a touch of Sichuan pepper. With food, I imagine the structure is there to hold up to quite strong flavours (mature goat/sheep cheese?) or even Asian dishes that use Sichuan pepper (in moderate doses). Might not be a match to everyone's taste but worth giving it a try if you are curious and looking for something different!
