Well, hello old friend. The color here is light red, almost Burgundian. Lovely spicy, perfumed nose underpinned by subtle red fruit. So light and elegant, resolved, tertiary flavors of underbrush, dried red fruits and tobacco. Fully mature now and not likely to improve. A great treat if one wants a throwback to old-school neuf. Love it.
Has barely budged since my last bottle opened five (5!!!) years ago. Such a salty ocean breezy nose, flowers and citrus/lime. Lime, green fruit and sea shells in the mouth, great cut and persistance. Classic Chablis, still youthful, very powerful yet with great finesse. Awesome bottle of wine.
Ah, the purity of this wine. In many ways, this could just as well be a Viognier with its floral nose, the wonderful palate of apricot, pineapple, peach, citrus and cream. So fresh and delightful, just 12.5% alc, this is amazing value. What a shame there is so little of this wine. Perret is probably my favorite grower of whites in the Northern Rhone.
