Nose is flint & minerality. Some fruit trying hard to get through, but just can't distinguish itself. Beautiful light straw color. Acid attack on the palate with tangerince and pinapple. Just wakes you up! Almost searing in its purity. Medium length finish.... infancticide, yes, but I just HAD to see what these were about. Remaining bottles can rest peacefully now :D

Floral nose (violets) with some spice (nutmeg, cinnamon) and lt. red fruit. Palate comes at you with more spice (including some black pepper?) and a strong cherry note. Just ripe, sweet, cherry with oak underneath. Too young? I'm still struggling with this as it doesn't seem integrated (this is my 2nd bottle, btw) but yet presents "well". Some vanilla on the palate as well.. this and the oak lead me to think it in need of time. Decent finish, but not exceptional. A "good" drink but still consider this (Pinots in general) the poorest values of the SQN portfolio, and am not exceptionally sad to see this portion go away. Would tend to hold for a bit, but don't see this going for MANY years.. drink over the next 3-5..

Absolutely stunning. Nose loaded with butterscotch and honeysuckle and a hint of floral. Wonderful golden color.Very "heavy" palate but with ample acids.. lends itself well to pairings common for Chardonnay as well as others. More butterscotch and honeysuckle on the palate with some tropical fruits.. oak doesn't come through until the finish which is EXCEPTIONALLY long. Drinking wonderfully now, with a few years ahead. Drink now - 2010 but I don't really see it "improving" much, just changing a bit.
