Decent enough, but I fear it's past whatever prime it might of had. Decanted 40-50 minutes before first pour. Some definite oak, but the red fruit stood out. Sour cherries, raspberries, red plum. Garnet color with some sediment in the bottle. Tannins were still there, with a medium body and finish. Overall a good wine from a year that was rated high. At sub-$15, this is a good entry-level Bordeaux.
A tad lighter than the '12 but still a gem of a wine. Plenty of fruit, round tannins, and quite food friendly. Medium to full body with a lasting finish. One of my wife's favorites, so I always keep my eyes open when this pops up. Should improve with a few years in the cellar, but it may not last that long.
