Second bottle of this in the week, the first was corked - a huge disappointment. This bottle was decanted about an hour and half. Tasted throughout that time and the wine clearly getting better with time and air. After 2 hours it was at its peak and remained as such for another hour and half to two hours. Still somewhat youthful, I would suggest leaving it for another year or two. Typical DA - stain your teeth black fruit, thick, velvet on the tongue. Starts out a little hot but nicely recedes into the background. Strong nose. Lengthy finish. I very much enjoy DA wines and this one does not disappoint.

Decatned a half hour. Full of big bold black berries both on the nose and palate. Perhaps a slight raisiny touch. Nice tannins that last for quite a while. Medium to long finish. A lack of pepper/spice that I prefer in a shiraz but even without that, this is a very nice wine. The fruit is huge. Served with a rib eye steak, sweet potatoes roasted in cumin and other spices, caesar salad and a some baguette. Not quite 'outstanding' as per CT scale, but close.

Decanted 1.25 hours. Served with rib eye, caesar salad and parmasean bread. This was my first KB and I was expecting more. This is a good wine, but I was expecting a 'wow' moment. Good body, but a little lighter than I expected from reading other reviews. Aromas at first had hints of red berries and an earthy aromoa. As time went buy the earthiness blew off and the fruit remained with more of a black cherry aroma. Good mouth feel, smooth, velvety.Was a little 'hot' at first but again settled nicely. A good wine, glad I had it, but not worth the price I paid for it, but would be worth the release price.
