Its been a few weeks since my last glass of "fine" wine.....So my senses may be overwhelmed! This wine was gifted to us from our favorite California friend.... Ron is truly knowlegible with Cali Petites. After allowing this wine to rest. We decanted, aerated, poured a sample glass, and then allowed the remainder to open. This wine presented a deep inky purple, the darkest petite to date for us. Crazy legs on glass. It nosed floral, floral and more floral. Slight citric and (maybe) iron hints?????? A little hot on the nose....this faded after 30 mins . The palate was greeted with a soft silky sensation. Cherries, dried fruit (our son says trail mix) vs cassis?, jammy, peppery, with a hint of smokey meat. Moderate finish, not as hot as we thought it may be with the legs and the initial nose impression. We REALLY enjoyed this wine.....its been TOOOOOOOOOOO long since our last glass of "real" wine.
Thanks Ron S.

I gotta go with the reviews for 2007 vintage. Fruit forward and cherry coke on the start , weak finish. Watery. Not the best pinot we have had. I want my $21 back.
