Classic Cote-Rotie, as far as I can tell. Meat and violets; elegant with just enough rusticity to remind you you're drinking Northern Rhone syrah. Seems to be drinking perfectly.

Drank next to the '02, the '05 is much riper, lower acid, comes across as buttery / diacetyl. Paired spectacularly with a souffle of saffron and pine nuts, but on their own, I greatly preferred the classic Savennieres profile of the '02.
