A little tight out of the bottle. It opened up nicely in ten minutes. No need to decant in advance. A jammy sweet, floral bouquet on first pour faded to subtle aromas. I served this with a veal scaloppine stew, a nice pairing. As one guest commented, this is not a sipping wine, but with its long finish and cherry fruit, it complements food very well.

Poured a quick glass with Coravin and my first impression was very off putting. Tannic out of the bottle, I swirled and let it sit 10 - 15 minutes. Slowly it opened up and revealed complex fruity aromas. It seemed every minute gave me a different aroma, plums, cherries, currants, blueberries. There is potential in this wine. For now, an hour or two decant is advised. I put that bottle back in the cellar and am considering adding more bottles

Not a pop n pour. I missed older notes about giving this wine time to breathe and simply poured without benefit of Venturi or time in a decanter. First taste was not a typical tightness, rather is was coarse and nasty. Opened up after 20 - 30 minutes of swirling in the glass. I will leave the remaining bottles to age a bit more before opening. Went well with pasta and tomato sauce.
