The bottle was fine, the cork was fine, the wine was herbaceous and bitter. I am not sure how much stem was left in the juice, but I would say way too much. Things improved after a couple of hours, but the wine still lacked the body and the fruit. How disappointing !

Mature and well integrated. Wonderful cherry prune with a nice finish. Very sorry this is my last bottle.

Day 1: Popped and poured, thought decanting would not be necessary. Wrong! Put back in the fridge with just the cork on.
Day2: Very good, complex with a super long finish. Read other reviews to get all the flavors.
Net is that this wine, although 22 years old, requires either a decant or at least a couple of hours breathing.
When at its apex, drink, Day 3 was very average.
