These have been a favorite over the years- always a lovely fruit core with brown sugar, brambles, etc., a nice earthy, complex zin. But now I've had 5 Woot bottles in a row that were flawed- some obviously zippy, almost cooked, some just harsh and disjointed. Not sure what happened. Anybody else experience this with recent Woot purchases of this wine?

Opened and had a quick glass through the Vinturi, wow I like this wine- cherry fruit entry, lots of perfume lilac on the palate and long aromatic finish. This may be one of my favorite Zins ever. Day 2 was even better. Few Zins I've had have had this long of an intense floral/rose/lilac finish. Lots of cherry and perfume, I was sad to see the bottle finished. I don't understand some of the other tasting comments, perhaps the wine just needs more time in the decanter. Certainly a different style from a more aggressive Zin like Turley (which I also have) but I'm starting to think that I'm preferring this more elegant and structured style of Zin to the typical over the top California fruit bomb Zin. I'll give it a 90, but take that with an intense grain of salt, I'm certainly no professional wine reviewer!
