Opened and drank immediately, then re-corked and finished the rest a few hours later. A bit tight at first but opened up after 15 minutes with a nice complex set of aromas with the whole cluster dimension really complementing the fruit. Extremely well balanced on the palate - possibly the best example of CA Pinot from 2011! Really love this wine, hard to find anything not to like and it will certainly get better with a few more years if bottle age.

This is now my second bottle. We popped and poured over 2 hours. Definitely a muscular wine with a lot of structure and great acidity, but what I liked the most was the delicate, almost Pinot-esque aromas. Great mouthfeel with a heavy, blanket-like texture. This wine was excellent again and can be enjoyed now but I will wait a few more years before I go back again to let the tannins soften a bit.

Nose was a little bit confusing but I suppose that could be from the 4% Pinotage in this blend. Interesting aromas but a little heat showing through. Better on the palate but a little disjointed.
