Producer tasting notes: ""Les Pruliers" has a sustained colour. Young, it imposes its personality. Summer fruit flavours mingle with fine plant smells reminiscent of blackcurrant leaves and wild sloe, with liquorice and spicy rose notes in the background. When mature: fullness and roundness, underlined with a dash of liveliness, that try to hide more austere closing notes. Flavours of cocoa, smoked meat, creosote and undergrowth bouquet are then noticed. In great years, age gives it a generous and sensual sweetness." - Domaine Robert Chevillon

Vintage quality: Excellent
Current condition: Likely past it
The 1993 vintage for Burgundy was a great success, although maybe not quite legendary.
Spring was warm and wet with hail in May. June enjoyed nice, even flowering but a warm, wet July saw the spread of mildew. The rest of summer proved ideal for ripening the grapes ...
