Still quite chewy, though came in to its own with rib of beef. Plummy, dark red fruit, still a little dry and chewy on the finish. Moderate weight and length. Half a bottle left had oxidised noticeably overnight. Decent with suitable food. ***
Had this with Troy. Still a nice dark red with some slight bricking around the edges. Tight at first and not giving up much but after about 3 hours it really started to sing. Nice nose of dusty red and dark fruits, forest floor, tobbacco and some cedar and wood aromas. Started a little thin in the mouth but really gained weight with air. Actually, amazing how much this changed and I wish I would have opened it 3 hours earlier. Medium bodied with great balance. Still has plenty of fruit and some noticable tannins on the finish. Really nice wine.
