  After 909 minutes decanted, this medium dark red wine had a lovely red fruit, cherry nose. The medium full body was also forward with a fairly lingering finish.

  Loved this! Still drinking wonderfully. Nice fruit nuances, good soft tannic structure and nice long finish. Hard to believe this is a 16 year old mid-level napa cab. Wish i had more than one bottle left.

  Opened and consumed bottle in one sitting. Ruby to light pink orange on the rim. Cherry aromas, with some cedar and oak, black raspberry. Better than last bottle at initial open.....unfortunately this was finished before letting it get a couple days air, to compare to the last showing, but this seems in a better place....it is rounding out and seemingly improving. Light to medium body, good acids, decent fruit with secondary flavor to enhance.

  This medium garnet wine (purchased upon release and cellared in pristine fashion) was double-decanted, allowing two hours in decanter prior to funneling back into the cleaned bottle. It was then presented in double-blind fashion to our Friday tasting group. My taste was unblinded. This is a Cabernet which has aged gracefully since last being tasted in 2006, with a bouquet of baking spices, plum, cocoa, cigar box and dried herbs. Medium-bodied, round and with melted tannins, it offers flavors which mirror the nose, unimpeded by its seamless alcohol (listed as 14.4%). The flavors persist throughout the middle and lead to a medium-length, smooth finish. Those who hold well-cellared bottles of this wine will be very pleased. Drink now-2017.
