Drank with sous vide venison w/ a wild berry sauce. Great match. Nice plump red fruit, with balanced tannic structure. Edges had turned a little brick-colored, but mostly still had its deep dark color.
Plum and currant jam framed by leather, tobacco, menthol and savory BlackBerry seeds. Delicious, voluptuous and rich. Enough structure keeps it in check. Nice across all palates; almost liqueur like, but not too hot or syrupy. Agree, probably won't get any better, but continue to be impressed with what Spain provides for $15!
