A nice, pleasant riesling. Somewhat simple, and uncomplicated, but tasty. Nice nose of tropical fruits and some grapefruit. Broad in the mouth, with definite flavors of red grapefruit and granny smith apple. Good acid but a shortish finish. With the strong grapefruit component, I thought this could easily pass as a ringer for NZ Sauv. Blanc.

Walla Walla Syrah Festival "Vintage Pour" (Cavu Cellars, Walla Walla): Surprise wine of the night. German like. Slate, peach, pear, sour apple and great minerality on the finish. Good acidity. Wow!
