Fruit seems to fading. Acidic and savory. Almost a balsamic, Sangiovese-esque note. More Pintail and Widgeon. 2007 was last vintage Ponsot used natural cork.

Chambolle Musigny Blind Tasting: 43 years old vines. I have to admit this was not showing so well tonight as I found it very tight and close. Maybe a hint of bacon along elegant red fruits. Feminine, light on its feet, I'd like to re taste to better understand this wine. (12.5%)

No formal note, but this takes a while for the sappiness on the palate to emerge. A bit simple on the nose, but with some fine minerality which suggests a bit more time is required. Still, this did not come across as terribly deep, so it will be interesting to see just how long it lives.

This seems to be aging pretty nicely. The texture has improved- and is quite nice. Still simple- but gaining a touch of earthy / dusty complexity.
