15 years and it is still going! It may be past it’s peak, but it still has vibrant acidity and lively fruit. Tannins are still there, though they have mostly resolved.
Old-world inspired, but still very much new world fruit. Raspberry & cherry, blackberry with aged salami with a finish of light white pepper and stewed fruit medley.
Overall still worth drinking given this particular bottle’s stellar storage conditions. Your mileage may vary.

Inky very dark red. Luscious nose with Plum, licorice, charcoal. Chewy and smooth in the mouth with blackberry, blood orange, slight heat on finish. Not terribly complex but enjoyable, and has a few more years left.

- Slow forming legs and aromas of blackberry, black currant, cherry and fig. It's balanced and has flavours of blackberry, cherry and black pepper with a full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Decanted one hour. Big, food friendly Syrah. Delicious. Rich, black cherry finish.

12 Days of Christmas - 2018; 12/21/2018-1/1/2019 (NYC, Vermont, Lake Placid): Another fire pit wine. Popped and poured. Bought these back at release and have never tried, pleasantly surprised. I was expecting mor syrupy extraction from RRV, but this had dark fruit with lots of savory notes and black pepper, clearly new world but in balance.

Tasty. Kevin says “big and balanced” and would have given it a 94.
