375ml PnP into an extra large Burgundy Grand Cru glass. Not unexpected from first sip, no time in glass, thin, lean, heavy eucalyptus (which even though I am a big Bordeaux fan I am adverse when it’s prominent) some red and black crunchy fruits. Medium + acidity.
30 minutes later a bit more fruit but a bit more sour.
1hr in the eucalyptus better integrates.
2hr much more integrated wine but still far below my enjoyment level.a little sweeter fruit.
Still very young, I will hold for a few more years before trying again… and that from a 375. If 750 would hold another 5-10 years.
87/88 for now with 2-3 points of upside potential.

Beautiful Bordeaux; far younger than its age. Classic Bordeaux style with forward tannins and tobacco, but with not-so-classic loads of fruit. No hurry to drink. Easily has another 10 years on its expiration date.

(Grand Puy Lacoste) Tight out of the gates but with some coaxing a gorgeous nose of tar, blackberry, tobacco, currants, black cherries mineral and a touch of toasty oak. Very aromatically precise . . . Rich and decadent in the mouth with superconcentrated fruit . . . Firms up on the finish but has astounding length and brilliant delineation . . . Wow!!

No decant, brought to a wine dinner by a generous friend.
Immediately expressive on PnP. Gorgeous layered red fruits that were elegant and ethereal. Nice dusty earth undertones as well. Medium light body.
For me this is at peak. Can probably age further if you want more secondary and tertiary notes, but for me this is prime time.

Confirmation of my notes from 2020 - this is drinking very nicely now, and is on its plateau of maturity.
