  • With almost 20y of age, this is a showing great. With no special designation and/or a vineyard , just Appellation Alsace, I was a bit worried if this would be drinkable at all. But I was proved wrong and a delightful and elegant GW showed up, slightly off dry just to much the richness on the nose and with the grace of the long bottle maturation, it was splendid.

  • The wine showed a nice straw color. At age 18, it showed no brown or gold in the color. The nose was tropical fruit and lychee. On the palate the wine was just a beauty. Exotic fruit, lychee and a hint of bitterness that is often the case with a dry Gewurztraminer. It is fresh, minerally and in perfect balanced. It was not particularly high in acidity but enough for bringing freshness in the context of this rich wine. It was in perfect condition. The wine was actually dry but the fruit and richness made it seem a bit sweet. We had it with three curries and it was perfect. This is one of the best Gewurztraminer of my drinking experience.

  • Quite restrained Gewurz nose much more spice than rosepetal. Honeyed, though dry and warm pear notes. Good

  • Dinner of homemade Alsatian three-cheese fondue. Deep honey/gold color. Pleasant and fruity, showing some interesting pear, diesel, and honey notes. Good acid balance; classic full-bodied Gewurz oily mouthfeel. Not all that complex, but a good quaffer and excellent value.
