Sampled at a tasting of sixteen white burgundies. This is the first Grand Cru Chablis that I have tasted and it was worth the wait. Smokey stones and minerals. Creamy, smooth and deep. Excellent.

A lovely nose of green apples, canned pineapple, wet stones and petroleum jelly. Lots of minerals of the palate, and a little less fruit than I would have liked - there was some mixed citrus and tropical fruit, though. Hardly any hint of oak, with a slightly thick though smooth texture. I thought this bottle was better than the one we had 2 years ago. A very nice chablis, but I can't help but feel this grand cru should be better (A-). It should improve over the next 5 years, though.
