Impressive Savennieres for lovers of French chenin blanc. Drinking perfectly now with complex intense developed nose of lemon, apple, camomile, quince and honey. High acidity well balanced with fruit sugars, but should not be drunk to cold: my tasting was at 60oF. Long finish

A yellow-gold tinge more than anything else. Lanolin, tangerine, apricots, yellow peach, mineral, chalk and white blossoms. This has put on more weight since the last 6 or 9 months, plumping up and a bit more luscious than prior bottles. A round and satisfying mouthfeel. Rounder and not nearly as tight as the prior bottle, but still a very soft, feminine wine. Flavors of almond, anise and chalk as the floral and peach notes continue strong. I’ve said it before, but it still applies, “The low end of Baumard’s line up, but it performs.” Stelvin closure. 13% alc. With seared bacon wrapped scallops with mustard-shallot sauce, cheeses, mole, and ham. Recommended.

Dry, tart and a bit austere. There is some butter and some see side notes. Consistent with prior notes.

Creamy notes with some saltiness and robust acidity. Makes one think of a sea breeze. Nice but an bit austere.
