    (Philip Shaw Pinot Noir 08) Ripe nose of dark cherries, raspberry, leather, and plum skin, with toasty vanilla from at least a bit of new French oak. As with a young Burgundy, the palate is a bit more reticent and much less ripe, tending more toward cranberry and green cherries. Moderately long finish. Needs time, maybe three to five years, to open up. 13.8% alcohol. Chilling Out Down Under
