I expected more from this 2008 Cab, as I drank the 2009 vintage two days ago and I prefer the 2009. Still, for the $9 I paid for the 2008 Cab, it was a good value. Both need to be opened an hour before drinking, as my initial taste had a note of acidity on the finish.
Red fruit nose, bit of cherries. Dry with a little tannin. Jammy and tart. Mouthfeel is a little thin, but still appealing. Looking forward to having this with a steak for dinner. Will update after it's been open for a while.
Initially rated this an 87, but it never really improved so I am rating it an 85. Drinkable and nice, but I have no idea what the price was so I can't even bump it up based on QPR.
