Double Blind tasting Medium garnet with extensive bricking noted Medium plus aromas jumping out of the glass - really no fruit here but complex aromas of cedar/ leather/ furniture polish and tobacco with underlying dry spices - thyme/ sage - just a hint of oak notes remaining Medium bodied with palate of dried cherries/ currants and leather/ tobacco and cedar Medium plus tannins but completely integrated - medium plus acidity and medium alcohol - moderate length carried by savory notes I have a problem with aged wines - hard to call these when minimal fruit exists - I called old Brunello based on the savory notes but in retrospect the pyrazines remain, though almost predominately cedar at this point In any case, a great wine which was more enjoyable with time in the glass I would recommend drinking now

95 out of the bottle; so smooth, then after an hour tasted more like a mature Bordeaux. First hour was magic.
