Ready and thoroughly enjoyable. Dark, brooding color with open nose of cassis, blackberry, vanilla, incense and sweet spice hints, plummy, rich, round and medium to long in length. What I call perfect "steak house cabernet", went beautifully with beef and béarnaise. Tannins round and resolved, acidity a touch on the low side, this makes a stellar statement now and for the foreseeable future. From a mag, bought on release from the winery. Enjoy at will.
Was very funky when first opened. Let it sit in the bottle for 1/2 hour and then put into a decanter. Lots of chewey dark and slightly candied bright fruit, followed by some spicey, peppery wood. I think this is at its peak
This might be the perfect California Cabernet drinking at its peak. Great deep purple, fantastic black and blue fruits. Blessed with Rutherford dust and a deft hand from Tom, the winemaker. Tannins are fully integrated and provide for a long, long finish. Please taste now. It's amazing. Enjoy!
