  • Bottled 26th of October 2010. 11% alcohol. Served blind.

Concentrated golden yellow color with a hint of copper. Very developed nose way beyond its peak with aromas of green pea pod aromas of thiols, some perfumed notes, a little bit of oxidized Granny Smith apple and a hint of soap. Light-bodied, tart and thin on the palate with quite dull and dead flavors of green apples, green thiols and a faint hint of nuttiness. The wine is moderately high in acidity. The finish is sharp, dead and tired with short aromas of steel and bitter apple peel.

Having tasted this wine once before, I recognized this one blind. The wine was as dead as it was a few years ago. From what I've understood, the wine was really beautiful for a few years after its bottling and after that it just went completely dead.

  • Well, I believe it is safe to say this should have been drunk earlier. Still some fruit left but it would take some serious persuading to make me finish a glass.

  • Quite deep yellow to amber color. Quite reticent, almost mute nose with aromas of sweet honey, straw and some nutty, oxidative fruit. On the palate the wine is dry, thin and very low on acidity. There are rather restrained and very tired flavors of hay, madeirized oxidation, wildhoney, some minerality, a little citrus fruit and a hint of vague spiciness. The wine feels pretty dull and lifeless, thanks to almost nonexistent acidity. As the wine breathes in the glass, it gets just more tired. The finish is short and dull with quite thin flavors of dried herbs, some floral notes, a little nuttiness and a hint of oxidative spice.

Obviously this wine has seen some better days. It is tired and quite thoroughly oxidized with almost nonexistent acidity, resulting in a flat and dull mouthfeel. This must have been a nice wine a few years ago, i.e. quite soon after its bottling (this was a recently bottled late release), but now it was pretty much waste of money at 11,74€.

  • On the nose some resin and minerality.Light bodied, dry palate showing resin, petrol and rather vibrant citrussy fruit.Nicely balanced and quite refreshing, despite of the light body.Reminded of some hungarian white wine I´ve had years ago.

  • Not bad. Nice minerality, green dry apple and some miraculously well preserved traminer-pineapple-fruit. Good buy at 12 euros.
