Beautiful nose of funk, dirt, minerals and stone that opened up to some sour cherry a little later on. The nose upon opening reminded me of the Pessac Leognan region of Bordeaux but then evolved more into its own with some sour cherry on the nose. Upon opening the pallet was a little thin with notes of tart red fruit, and a tannic lingering finish. It put on a little weight after a while but was still lacking some complexity. I would purchase this again to keep on hand for dinner parties with my non wine drinking friends but would not bring this to a TIARI tasting. I preferred the 2004 vintage. (85-86 points).

Nice wine - held up well over three days. Nice bright fruit on the front with spice on the back end. A good post dinner sipper.
