Now soft and drinking very well. Definitely musky and luscious still, with bright red fruit and baking spice and forest floor and a bit of oak, but now beginning to show bottle age. Went amazingly well with the braised lamb shanks at our seder. Next day: bouquet is a total knockout, with a floral note (violets) and a high note (petrol?) that I didn't catch yesterday. Long finish. So good.

Raspberry, strawberry, cherry, sous bois; dense, full, structured, slightly tight; there is an elegance, but slightly monolithic and still too young; long extended finish After 1 Hour: Nose is more integrated and perfumed with occasional more exotic notes of spice emerging; relatively similar on palate, showing somewhat more development but still a little tight At 3 Hours: Slightly more open and fruit more manifestly present; very good indeed

Decanted at the restaurant. Rich ripe cherry on the nose, more cherry and spice on the palate. A smooth glide from lip to throat, charm and balance combined with plenty of power--but drying tannins on the finish suggested that it's not quite ready to drink yet.

Musky and luscious, rounded rather than layered, with drying tannins at the close.
