Either my tastes are changing or I don't have enough experience with RRV pinots. Tasted like a flat glass of Cherry Coke. Not that there's anything wrong with it, but I much prefer the SC KB's I've had in the past.
Decanted 1+ hours. An eligant and big Cali Pinot Noir through and through. A wonderful big black cherry, plum, prum, fig and baking spice nose that leaps out of the glass and carries through on the palate. Still quite youthful with its diamond edge acidity and a wanton lengthy finish. Could sit for many more years but good luck keeping you lusty hands off of it.
Needed 30 minutes of air to show nice notes of black cherry and smoky minerals leading to a full flavored mouth echoing those notes. A good wine but definitely not as good as the 2010 of this wine I had a few weeks back.
