LBTG - with Alan hosting: my least fav in the flight. Nothing personal but this was just a bit ripe and unwieldy for me. the touch of heat at the start did dissipate with time - and it is a young wine. Violets, cherry cola and some oak on the nose. Rustic mid with sweet ripe candied cherry - and a hint of iron. nice ripe finish but just a touch too soft. good but not my style.
Elegant new world pinot. Aromas of violets, spice, and red, bright fruit. These carry through on the palate with complexity and balance. This wine is still vibrant and can go several more years but its drinking well now. Decanted for 30 minutes and improved in the glass.
