Aged 10 months in oak. Definitely big oak butter nose with pineapple and apple notes. Interestingly, an oak dominant Chardonnay in the standard California wine making approach for this varietal but expressions of oak and butter become subdued on the palate. Decent acid and fruit balance.

Very buttery nose and mouthfeel, some apple and citrus on the nose. 14.5% alcohol is kept well in check. Nicely done, typical Cali chard. Paired perfectly with crab cakes!

I am not a new world chard fan - too much oak. I prefer a style of a classic white burgundy or a Chablis. This performed well and would be better if left to age and mellow.
Golden straw in color. Nose of granny smiths, limes and honey suckle. Rich crisp apple and pear notes with a subdued apricot and cedar vanilla notes with very limited minerality. Medium finish.
