This wine pleasantly surprised us. It was at a nice level of maturity, had a minerality to it that gave it backbone in a way that we didn't anticipate. The fruit-earthy-mineral-spice balance was just right. We had it with a shrimp curry and the acidity and flavors worked perfectly with that meal.

Optimized after about 4 hours open. Medium ruby, 60% saturated, with no sediment and very slow legs. Rhubarb, cherry, jasmine florals, white pepper, and a touch of pickle and earth fill out the bouquet. Complex with good structure, if not the greatest balance. ABV is evident and a bit distracting. Medium bodied, medium acidity, very light tannins, and a low mineral profile. 4+10+14+7 = 87

Third bottle of the night after cocktails and sushi. Don't remember specifics but it was very good.

Paired nicely with a salad. Was not excited about it standing on its own
