  Alcohol: 12%. Color: deep ruby garnet with no sign of bricking at all. Nose: up front the faintest hint of age and fatigue - there's an earthyness to it that could almost be confused for a well aged Cote de Beaune. Behind that rusty iron butterscotch and licorice (again, recalling a decent Burgundy).
  Taste: the iron carries through to the palate. Great full mid-palate. Some of the age carries through, but not in an obtrusive way: still very drinkable. There's still some good fruit here too. Tanins are barely perceptable, just enough to frame up the fruit nicely. Not much at all in the way of acidity, maybe just a kiss at the end to seal the deal.
  The finish is very clean and not compromised at all by the bottle age. This isn't knock-your-socks-off, oh-my-god incredible bottle, however the more this bottle developes the more it becomes clear that this is a completely stand up bottle of well-aged Oregon pinot. Would buy more if it was available. A very well-made, bottle of wine. My hat off to Dom. Serene. Cheers.

  This bottle was much better than the first. Still not a stellar bottling, but it was better. The nose was more muted than the mouthfeel.

  Popped and poured at the bowling alley. Color clearly fading, but an active nose of blackberries and raspberries. On the palate a surprising amount of fruit left. Really enjoyable wine.
