  • A mix of dark berries and cassis. Spices and maybe a touch of TCA. On the palate tart dark fruit and bitter vegetal notes similar to what one would expect from Cab Franc. This though is thick opaque deep purple. One of the darkest straight Cabs I have seen. Almost black.

Probably would drink these up if I had more. I thought the great 2007 WA state vintage isn't my favorite. It seems to be the even years tended to make me happier.
    Still decent stuff.

  • This was really good. Smooth tannins make this dark purple ink wine very pleasant in the glass. The nose is dominated by dark fruit and some spices. On the palate the fruit comes through and earth notes are dominant with some baking spices and vanilla in the background. Nice medium finish. Its entering a good drinking window.
