Forget aging white burgundies, this wine is wild - a dark yellow color but no oxidized notes -wow. It’s gradually opening and needs time but in good shape after almost 20 years!

Upside surprise after pouring - it almost looked like tea. However, unlike many of my older white burgundies, this was alive and well - fully mature but enjoyable. White flowers, light curd on the nose - glides over the palate w/ ample minerals, great acidity - a long, saline finish - impressive. This bottle seemed a tiny bit off (given the color) but impressive after 18 years…

As good as always. Funny as I had people trying it blind and they called it chardonnay from Burgundy. Smoky, really textured (almost oily, especially for Muscadet), fresh and mineral, lemon and apple. Just the right amount of lees. A really good example of aged Muscadet.

Similar to last year’s note—round, lemony, touch of salt. Still has life but definitely on a gentle downslope at this point. Drink over next few years.

Very enjoyable muscadet. Paired perfectly with garlic, olive oil and shellfish pasta. Great QPR.
