  • Medium intense nose with all the classic aromas of a mature Mosel Riesling. Honey, browned butter, kerosene, cream, redcurrants, cilantro and pears (gråpäron).

High acidity, off-dry and well balanced. Medium intensity and a long finish. Fairly slender.

This is a fantastic wine! When uncovered I was surprised by the age, this feels like it has plenty of years left in it. Drinks perfectly right now though, and I wouldn't hesitate to open this had I had some myself.

  • What an interesting wine and a definite favorite at the table. This had all sorts of sour citrus flavors going. There was maybe just a touch of the gasoline you sometimes get in Riesling. The acidity had really died down over time so was more just a nice light wine. A touch sweet, but certainly not overpowering and felt like the sugar might have broken down a bit. Different and tasty.
